Companion planting is when you plant other plants with another plant(Example:Rosemary,Cabbage,Carrots/Corn,Squash,Beans). It is called companion planting because you have 1 plant with 2 friends/companions. Companion planting helps us because if you have Rosemary planted with Cabbage and Carrots, a bad bug that likes Cabbage and Carrots will NOT like Rosemary. Same with Corn,Squash, and Beans. Sunflowers and Corn make good friends because the Sunflower drived the ants and aphids away from the Corn and the Sunflower is tough. Companion plants help us because it helps the bad bugs stay away.

Companion planting is when you plant two plants in one pot. They both grow to keep bad bug from coming into the garden. So lets say we plant the three sisters[Corn,Beans, and Squash] it provides a lot of help in organic gardening. The sunflowers help a lot in the garden I would put corn and sunflowers together.Because sunflowers keep away ants and aphids away and corn provides a lot of nitrogen to the soil to help organic gardening.

Companion go's to a flower and when it close to a nether flower it takes over the flower. The companion even needs sun, water and space roots. So the companion helps the garden so it makes things grow so it helps every things.Companion also helps plants to benefit each other so the can keep bugs away. The companion need more sunlight for the flower to grow so the bugs wont do some thing bad to it.So that's why companion is important for the flower to grow.

Companion planting is when you plant a plant that helps the other plant. An example is how squash shades the ground so weeds cant grow. Corn gives support to a bean plant, and the bean plant gives nitrogen to the soil. Then, the other plants absorb this nitrogen. Marigolds send bad bugs running. Rosemary is a companion plant to cabbage and carrots.

Companion planting is planting two or more plants together to benefit each other. Example:Planting squash, corn and beans ( "The Three Sisters") will make nitrogen( From beans), give shade so no weeds will grow( The squash), and will give support to the beans to climb up on the corn. Companion planting helps the organic gardener and helps the environment because it keeps the all the pests away from eating the gardeners garden. And so the gardener won't have to use chemical fertilizer ( To kill the pests) and hurt the plants to do it.

To promoting better growth through complementary habits, companion planting is also practiced to prevent pest problems. Specific crops (typically flowers and herbs) are believed to repel certain pests, lure them elsewhere, or confuse them. Others entice beneficial insects, birds, and spiders that have a penchant for dining on problem visitors. The more diversity and variety of plants in your garden the greater will be the number of beneficial organisms that keep a check on the populations of pests.

Companion planting is when you plant things next to each other that help the other plants grow. People usually use different kinds of plants for companion planting. It can keeps away pests and can make shade for other plants. It can also help by bringing in the good bugs. When you are companion planting you do not take a lot of space. Did you know that companion planting is polyculture?

Companion planting is when two plants benefit each other. Like squash corn and beans how they benefit each other. So next time when you plant use plants that benefit each other. Never use plants that dont get along. Sometimes they attract bad bugs.

Companion planting is when two plants benefit off one another. An example is that bees take nectar and pollen from flowers to survive. Companion planting is VERY important because if you plant rosemary by carrots and cabbage the rosemary scares away the badbug sort of like a super hero. So if the cabbage and carrots don't get attacked by the super villain badbug they will be happy, healthy, and ready to be eaten. ( some things in this comment may be FAKE )

Companion planting is the idea that certain plants denefit others when planted next to,or close to one another. One reason is pest control, naturally, without the needs of chemicals. In other words, plants have friends in the garden that help them. But they also have foes(plants that aren't good to have around them).

Companion pants is when you put plants together and then they help each other. I think you should not put hormworms together because ten there will be no more leaves left. Sunflowers and corn are very good companion. Why because sunflowers are very tough so the ants and the aphids stay away. The sunflowers and corn are good because they discourage raccoons from ravaging the sweet corn and sunflower seeds. That is what companion plants mean.

Companion planting is when one plant help another. One way it helps is that one plant can keep away pests that may be harmful to the other plant. Prickly vines can keep away squirrels and raccoons.

Plants help each other. Tall plants give shade to small plants. Legumes give nitrogen to soil to help plants grow. Sunflowers keep ants away from the corn.
